Reus buys all Dortmund fans beer in farewell game

Chicago Sky rookie Kamilla Cardoso will have to wait to make her official WNBA debut as she'll miss four to six weeks with a shoulder injury she suffered in the Sky's preseason game this past Friday, the organization announced Monday.

Chicago will also be without Brynna Maxwell, one of its 2024 draftees out of Gonzaga, due to a knee injury; the guard will be reevaluated in three to four weeks, the team said.

Cardoso, a 6-foot-7 center and the No. 3 pick in last month's draft, is coming off an undefeated, national championship run with the South Carolina Gamecocks, where she won Final Four Most Outstanding Player in capturing her second national title in three seasons. Friday in a 92-81 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, Cardoso came off the bench, recording six points and four rebounds in 13 minutes before exiting with the injury.

The Sky could also be without both Taya Reimer (out, concussion protocol) and Isabelle Harrison (questionable, knee) for Tuesday's preseason contest against the New York Liberty.
